In our family olive groves in the Municipality of Evrota, Laconia, with a huge tradition in the cultivation of the sacred olive of our ancient land and with the experience of years we have in its processing in our own olive mill, we collect with passion and respect the most excellent virgin olive oil juice 100% maniataki as it is widely known in Laconia). With excellent organoleptic characteristics, rich in polyphenols and with an acidity of 0.26%, we offer it to you in a unique handmade clay bottle that symbolizes the gourd, a world-cultivated plant of 10 thousand years, which was dried by humans and used as storage. In Laconia from antiquity until today we call it fkiala and it was used for the extraction of olive oil from the clay storage jars.

Behind the product

Fiala

Fiala is produced by the Mpempi and Cheliotis family, which has a long history of olive oil making

Fiala is an early harvest, extra virgin olive oil produced exclusively from the Koroneiki olive variety, from Laconia, in the Peloponnese. It is highly phenolic and has a fruity aroma of freshly cut grass and artichoke, with a slightly spicy and bitter aftertaste. Fiala’s unique, handcrafted ceramic container is reminiscent of the “fkiala”, or “flaskia”, the dried water pumpkin with which locals used since antiquity to transfer olive oil.
